Dispatch & Billing System

Office staff at a Calgary flatbed carrier were spending hours each day processing hand-written bills of lading and manually building invoices for customers. This system digitizes the BOLs and automatically generates invoices on QuickBooks — all a person has to do is approve them. It works without forcing drivers onto a new dispatch app by communicating through text messages, simulating the phone-based workflow they already use.

ESTA Landscaping

A Calgary landscaping and snow removal company was quoting off phone calls and a bare contact form, so every lead needed a callback before it could be priced. A four-step quote flow now collects service type, property details and timeline up front and delivers a structured request straight to the owner's inbox, ready to price.

SignNGo

Lawn care and landscaping contractors price a job by driving out to measure the lot, then keying the same numbers into a quote by hand. SignNGo traces the property on a satellite map, converts the shape into square footage, and saves it as a reusable quantity that drops straight into a quote line item. An estimator proposes lawn, driveway, roof and lot areas up front with a confidence rating on each, and accepted figures carry through to invoices, recurring billing and documents sent for signature without being re-entered.

About

I finished a Software Development diploma at SAIT in 2024, but I'd been thinking about software longer than that. At every job I've worked — airport de-icing at YYC, security, trucking — I watched people spend hours on processes that a simple tool could handle in minutes. I started building those tools.

Driving flatbed for a Calgary carrier is what made it concrete. I saw office staff buried in paper bills of lading and hand-built invoices every day, so I built a dispatch system that digitizes the paperwork and generates the invoices automatically. Working in the field taught me something a classroom can't: if the software doesn't fit the way people already work, they won't use it — so the system runs on text messages instead of asking drivers to learn a new app.

I'm looking for a junior role on a team that ships, somewhere I can keep building things that solve real problems.
